Hall of Fame Village Brings Next-Level Turf to its Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium

CANTON, OHIO – Feb. 23, 2023 – Hall of Fame Village (NASDAQ: HOFV, HOFVW) today announces that it will be replacing the turf at its Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium with a new synthetic turf application from the ForeverLawn SportsGrass line of products. The high-performance turf will provide a more versatile playing surface for all athletes as well as fans who take part in the wide array of events and activities that take place on the field.

The new turf has been approved for use in NFL and USFL games, as well as other sports that require the high standards approved by these leagues, such as NCAA, OHSAA, and other professional sporting events.

“Updating our stadium turf with this high-quality product will not only provide a better playing surface for our athletes, but it will also give us the ability to host a wider range of sporting events," said Mike Levy, HOFV President of Operations.

"ForeverLawn is proud to have worked closely with the Village over the years to cultivate our shared commitment to excellence. Bringing SportsGrass high-performance athletic turf to Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium further strengthens this valued partnership and we're excited to get the project underway," said Derek Karmie, SportsGrass Brand Leader.

This project will include complete tear out and removal of the existing turf surface, re-grade of the edges to accommodate for the installation of ProPlay 20 pad by Shmitz Foam Products and SportsGrass Max with T˚Cool Infill System installation.

The installation of the new SportsGrass turf begins today and will be completed in time for the upcoming USFL season. The first NFL game played on the new field will be The 2023 Hall of Fame Game during Enshrinement Week.
